Mung Beans: Long Live The Ndengu
Mung beans are everywhere
All I did is lift the damn packet
And it ripped
A few got away
I shrugged my shoulders
My friend came in February and said ooh mung beans
And now mung beans are everywhere
Never heard so much mung bean racket
Packet slipped
Never seen so much mung bean spray
Every corner, every square centimetre, I shrugged my shoulders
It’s ok.
To clear it takes a few passes of the
Memories of the mung bean remain. Its spring now
And I spot the odd resilient, defiant mung bean
I don't mind. I love mung beans
